Meet Jeffrey House
How did you get interested in real estate?
My great-grandfather and grandfather were early Fresno contractors (back in the days when the uniform was bib-overalls) and my father was a principal in an architectural firm who also had his real estate license. He would take me along to look at homes he was thinking of purchasing for investment. Unfortunately, he never did invest (mistake!). However, our adventures left an impression on me. My interest piqued when my wife and I purchased our first home. The process fascinated me and I wanted to be a part of helping others realize the American dream.
What is your favorite part of working in real estate?
I love the interactions I get to have with people and the diversity that being a Realtor provides. It’s challenging, and I like being challenged.
What do you like to do outside of real estate?
Spending time with my family which includes our little minpin Jake (he goes everywhere with us!) and pretty much anything that gets me outdoors, especially cycling – I can’t get enough of it.
Who is your hero and why?
I don’t have a specific hero… anyone who personally sacrifices to make this a better place for all qualifies to me as a hero. If I had to say one person, it would be my father. He instilled in me his core values for which I am forever grateful.
What is the best part of living in the Central Valley?
The distinct seasons, the many cultures, the proximity to everything, and the affordability – it’s pretty hard to beat.
